Beat Corp is triggered by one Hans Gutknecht, who has a true knack for coming up with simple, yet catchy, electronic pop ditties. And while his slyly breathy and accented vocals become somewhat one-dimensional after awhile, there’s sharp hooks to be found in his electro-psychedelic tunes, especially “Me & You,” which is like Jesus and Mary Chain without the guitar squall. While the overall sonic impact is okay, this artist shows an ability to deliver production touches that keep things very interesting.
